- aluminum
- stainless steel
- plastic
- black oxide coating
- polished finish
The step drill is suitable for drilling the following materials: - iron and non-ferrous metal sheets, profiles, and pipes; - copper, brass, and aluminum; - stainless steel; - plastic. - The material thickness can be up to 4 mm.
For longer service life, we recommend using a cooling liquid.
Areas of use: - Electrical work: drilling panels and cabinets for cable gland installation. - Pipe and ventilation work: access holes for piping and installations. - Metal work/production: holes of various sizes and hole enlargement. - Automotive industry: installation holes for cables (mobile phones, antennas, electrical wire relocation). - Maintenance and repair: various tasks, holes of various sizes and hole enlargement.
Advantages of a step drill over a regular drill bit:
One drill bit can drill holes of different sizes — less to carry around!
The best option for enlarging existing holes.
More durable than spiral drills, a thick core protects against breakage.
Greater accuracy and less slippage, the tip remains at the contact point.
Clean holes without burrs, less need for grinding.
Drills plastic without causing splits or cracks.
Starting point drilling, drilling, burr removal — all at once.
Quick strike tip improves centering: less slippage and faster drilling without pre-punching or drilling.
The special shape of the tip and steps prevents jamming: less risk of the drill getting stuck when using a fast cordless drill; also prevents deformation of the material being drilled.
The optimized shape of the two ground cutting edges ensures 2x faster and smoother cutting.
Made from a special steel alloy, the black oxide coating ensures 4x longer service life.
Optimized for use with fast cordless drills.
Laser-engraved size marking ensures the best long-term visibility.
Each step is ground in relief to allow automatic drilling and burr removal.
Three-flat secure attachment prevents the step drill from slipping in the chuck and ensures maximum torque transfer.
Thunderweb metal drill
The Thunderweb design is characterized by a conical core that thickens towards the back of the drill bit.
The core part of standard drill bits is of the same thickness throughout the length of the drill bit.
The Thunderweb core is thicker even at its narrowest point than the core of a standard drill bit.
Parabolic cross-section of the core. Large core thickness. Built-in strength.
Drill working part geometry – The Thunderweb working part quickly ejects hot chips. Dissipates heat better, extending service life.
135° split point – precise starting, the drill bit does not move from its place.
Polished finish reduces friction and extends the life of the drill bit.
Shock-resistant ABS case with rubber corner protection.
Accepts greater feed pressure and torque, which means fewer breakages.
