The sensor plate on the sensor must be in contact with the soil to perform the measurements. The plate should be replaced with a replacement plate once a year to ensure the smooth operation of the system.
Replacing the sensor plates is quick and easy and can be done with just a screwdriver. To do this, unscrew the two screws on the back of the sensor, remove the front cover of the sensor and take out the plate. The old plate can be easily replaced with a new one. Then the sensor cover must be reinstalled and screwed on. Ready.
