Knipex wire rope cutters are ideal for situations such as: replacing a broken clutch cable on a classic car when original parts are unavailable, or when trailer parking brake cables are made from metric cable. These cutters are the right tool for these and many other situations. With a cutting capacity of up to Ø 7 mm for multi-strand copper cables and up to Ø 5 mm for wire ropes, they are suitable for installation work and workshop use.

Crimping end caps and cable ferrules on Bowden cables

Knipex wire rope cutters have two additional functions that replace two separate tools. Precisely formed crimping dies allow the ends of Bowden cables and their sheaths to be fitted directly after cutting. After shortening, the Bowden cable ferrule is crimped to prevent injury, and a cap is attached to the end of the Bowden cable for protection.

Comfort and safety: adjustable bolted joint, opening spring and locking mechanism

The space-saving, integrated opening spring ensures user comfort by saving one manual movement with each cut. When the handles are released, the spring automatically opens the pliers. Those who work frequently with wire ropes will quickly appreciate this function. For transport, the cutter is protected from accidental opening by a special locking system. The adjustable bolted joint ensures precise and backlash-free work.
