Bosch cordless rivet gun GRG18V-16

GRG18V-16 is an 18 V cordless rivet gun for installing rivets in OEM production and in construction and installation work, for example on air conditioning systems, facades and roofs. It installs rivets with diameters of 3–6,4 mm in various material combinations.

The cordless tool allows you to work without the cables and accessories of a pneumatic system. You can choose between automatic and manual riveting modes. The maximum pulling force is 16 000 N. The set includes two EXBA18V-40 batteries and a GAL 18V-40 charger; the charger's charging current is 4,0 A.

The tool has an LED that illuminates the work area and a display that shows the status: green indicates ready for use, yellow indicates a warning and red indicates an error message. The set includes four rivet nozzles (3,0/3,2 mm, 4,0 mm, 4,8/5,0 mm and 6,4 mm), a wrench for changing the nozzles, a suspension ring, a collection container for rivet mandrels and a belt clip.

The tool is compatible with Bosch GBA, ProCORE, EXPERT, EXBA and CORE 18 V batteries. For full power, the manual recommends GBA, EXPERT and EXBA batteries with a capacity of at least 4,0 Ah and ProCORE batteries of at least 5,5 Ah.

Choose the rivet nozzle according to the rivet size and rivet mandrel diameter. For example, the 6,4 mm nozzle is intended for 6,0 and 6,4 mm rivets. A combination not specified in the manual may result in a poor fastening or tool malfunction.

After each riveting operation, check that the broken-off rivet mandrel has fallen into the collection container. Empty the container before it is completely full to prevent jamming.

If the tool displays a reminder to clean or check the riveting jaws, inspect them and clean them if necessary. Reset the reminder only after checking.

Charge the battery at an ambient temperature of 0 to +35 °C. The permitted temperature range for using and storing the tool is −20 to +50 °C; performance is limited below 0 °C.
