The spring-loaded hinge bolt locks firmly in place without accidental adjustment. Thanks to the 25-fold fine adjustment, the Cobra can be perfectly adapted to the sizes of different components. This fine adjustment also ensures a user-friendly handle distance for each grip width.

The stability of Knipex Cobra pliers is increased by the box joint. Unlike pliers with a surface-mounted joint design, there are no tilting forces under load. The handles stabilize each other from the joint.

The self-locking mechanism ensures high efficiency

Knipex Cobra pliers lock themselves to the component thanks to the specially developed jaw geometry. This allows the user to direct all the energy to the desired movement without strongly squeezing the handles together – thus without losing energy. Round components can be rotated, threaded connections tightened and released.

Knipex Cobra: several production stages to create a high-quality tool

We forge Knipex Cobra pliers from chrome-vanadium steel and harden them in several stages to achieve the ideal balance between hardness and toughness. This makes them extremely durable. To achieve a firm and permanent "grip" on the component, we harden the gripping teeth with high-frequency current to a hardness of about 61 HRC.
