The Knipex 97 78 180 crimping pliers are a robust and precise tool that can be used wherever cable sleeves (fir tree profile) need to be crimped: e.g. during IT conversion work in the server room, in control cabinets or during the installation of domestic electrical systems, such as when installing lighting elements. These crimping pliers are insulated with multi-component handles and VDE tested according to insulation standards IEC 60900 / DIN EN 60900.

Precise adjustment of the crimping profile to the crimping volume

To achieve a standard-compliant crimping result, the crimping profile must be carefully adjusted to the material volume of the cable sleeve and wires. Therefore, it is important to use the appropriate tool and the correct crimping slot. A total of nine crimping slots are available with a capacity range of 0.25 to 16 mm⊃2;. Fir tree profiles are clearly marked to prevent incorrect insertion. Thanks to the conical shape of the crimping profiles, the pliers hold the cable sleeve securely.
