Compact tool for big tasks

Precise cuts for thin wires, thick cables, and spring steel

Thanks to the geometry of the cutting edges and high-quality chrome-vanadium steel, the Knipex 73 06 160 X-Cut allows precise cuts for both fine copper wire and thick multi-strand cable, with a diameter of up to 12 mm. The X-Cut cutting edges easily pass through nails and wires, including spring steel wire (piano wire).

Great energy savings due to high manual force transmission ratio

A small tool with big energy savings. The extremely high manual force transmission ratio reduces effort by about 40% compared to standard diagonal cutters of the same length. Weighing only 175 g, with a length of just 160 mm and a large opening range – ideal data for this compact tool, which can also be used on live parts due to its standard-compliant insulation, provided the relevant safety rules are observed.

Durable and strong: box-joint design, double guide, and double-mounted joint axle

These compact diagonal cutters with a box-joint offer maximum stability, as the plier handles stabilize each other in the joint: The Knipex 73 06 160 X-Cut joint axle is mounted on both sides, the inner handle edges of the pliers are guided from both sides. The chrome coating allows easy cleaning and is an advantage if the tool is permanently located in a service vehicle, where condensation can occur due to temperature changes. The chrome-coated surface offers effective corrosion resistance.
