Micro-grain tungsten carbide alloyed with cobalt for the best durability and service life; thicker carbide allows repeated sharpening.
The carbide is brazed to the body with a three-layer process (silver-copper-silver) to create a strong connection.
The multi-axis CNC sharpening process gives the cutting edge an ultra-sharp geometry and allows it to stay sharp longer.
The anti-friction coating reduces snagging, friction and heating during cutting, and also protects the router from corrosion and resin build-up.
The anti-kickback shoulder limits the cutting depth and reduces kickback.
Two carbide edges ensure clean, smooth and precise grooves or slots in softwood/hardwood, MDF, plastic-coated boards, plywood, plastic and composite material. 
For durability and service life, routers with a diameter of 3–8 mm are made of solid carbide.
Thanks to the lower cutting edge, they are well suited for making recessed cuts.
With smaller diameter and long routers, several thin cutting passes must be made to avoid damaging the router.
Product no. 4932501169 has an additional carbide cutting edge on the end, which increases efficiency and extends the service life.
