MICROMOT three-slit steel collets are hardened and therefore permanently resilient
These collets retain their accuracy even after prolonged use (they cannot be compared to unhardened, four-slit collets made of brass and aluminum)
A three-slit collet is much more difficult to manufacture than a four-slit, but it ensures a more durable surface
