Sauter hardness tester HO 5K

This ultrasonic hardness measuring device is ideally suited for mobile hardness testing, where the main emphasis is on obtaining quick and accurate results.
Measures the hardness of the material using a vibrating rod, which vibrates at ultrasonic frequency and is pressed onto the sample with a defined test force. There is a Vickers indentation at the bottom. Its resonant frequency increases as soon as a cavity is created when it comes into contact with the sample. By suitable adjustment of the device, the resulting change in resonant frequency is matched to the corresponding Vickers hardness.
Used primarily for measuring small forgings, castings, welding points, stamped parts, casting tools, ball bearings and gear sides, as well as for measuring the effect of heat or heat.
Advantages over Rockwell and Brinell: almost non-destructive testing with a lower test force and thus only microscopic indentation craters.
Advantages over Vickers: demanding optical measurement is not necessary. Therefore, you can take measurements directly on site, for example, on a permanently installed workpiece.
Advantages over Leeb: high demands on the correct weight of the test object can be widely omitted.
Standards: The device complies with the following technical standards: DIN 50159-1; ASTM-A1038-2005; JB/T9377-2013
The measurement data memory stores up to 1000 measurement groups, each of which contains 20 individual values
Mini-statistics function: displays the measurement result, the number of measurements, the maximum and minimum values, and the average value and standard deviation
Calibration: The device can be set to both standard hardness test blocks and up to 20 reference calibration values. By doing this, it is possible to quickly measure different materials without having to adapt the device to individual materials.
