This headlamp got the name “ZOOM” because the user can “zoom” the beam angle in and out according to the nature of the work being done. Thus, the beam angle can be adjusted from 10°-70°, providing a very long, 75-meter beam or a shorter, 30-meter beam.
The updated ZOOM lamp has a 3-step brightness adjustment: 1st step = 10 lumens / 2nd step = 80 lumens / 3rd step = 220 lumens. The 1st step is called the "READING MODE setting", as 10 lumens provides just enough light for reading user manuals, for example.
