Additional Info

Allows to perform basic electrical measurements.
The device is equipped with measuring clamps, which allow to measure alternating current on a single wire by the inductive method. The measurement takes place without interrupting the circuit or disconnecting from the power source and allows to measure significantly higher current than standard multimeters.

Basic measurements:
Alternating voltage measurement: A.C. 0–600 V
Direct voltage measurement: D.C. 0–600 V
Alternating current measurement: A.C. 0–600 A
Resistance measurement: 0–20 MΩ
Diode test: IF 1 mA, UR 1.48 V
Continuity test: 0–120 Ω

Additional measurements:
Temperature measurement: –20 to +1000 °C

Measurement accuracies:
Example of accuracy calculation when measuring alternating current. Sample measurement: 30 A
Measurement accuracy in this range: ±(2.5% + 5), resolution 0.1 A
Formula: (measurement result × 2.5%) + 5 × resolution
Calculation: (30 × 2.5%) + (5 × 0.1) = 0.75 + 0.5 = 1.25 A
Result with measurement error for 30 A: 30 ± 1.25 A*

Result with measurement error for alternating voltage 235 V: 235 ± 8.525 V*
Result with measurement error for direct voltage 12 V: 12 ± 0.106 V

More detailed information about the measuring ranges and accuracy can be found in the user manual.

*The YT-73091 multimeter does not have a true RMS function, so the measured value for alternating voltage and current is accurate only for a normal sine wave.

Functions:
AUTO – automatic measurement range selection. When measuring unknown values with a manually adjustable range meter, it starts from the largest range and moves to a more accurate result – otherwise the device may be damaged. With the AUTO function, one measurement is enough, the device itself finds the optimal range. By default, the device starts in AUTO mode.
RANGE – manual change of the measurement range. Useful when testing components of the same value, such as a series of resistors. Manual setting reduces the measurement time.
FUNC. – changing the measurement mode, e.g. switching temperature measurement °C → °F or diode test → continuity test.
DATA HOLD – holding the current measurement result on the screen.
MAX HOLD – holding the largest measured value on the screen.
