The Yato YT-72901 thickness gauge helps check the thickness of paint and varnish coatings on steel and aluminum parts, such as a vehicle body. The device automatically detects whether the substrate being measured is magnetic metal (Fe) or non-magnetic metal (NFe), and displays the result on a matrix LCD screen.
Non-destructive measurement allows you to inspect the surface without damaging it. Measurement data can be saved and viewed later, and the device calculates the average, maximum and minimum values based on the last ten readings.
The compact and lightweight gauge is suitable for use in various locations and runs on three AAA batteries. The included test plates and calibration panels are intended for checking and calibrating the device according to the user manual.
Automatically detects steel (Fe) and aluminum (NFe)
Measures coating thickness in the range of 0–2000 μm
Non-destructive measurement and clear matrix LCD screen
Saves up to 30 sets of measurement data
Calculates the average, minimum and maximum of the last ten readings
USB-C connection for transferring saved data to a computer
Suitable for measuring paint or varnish coating thickness on steel and aluminum surfaces.
Automatically detects a ferromagnetic (Fe) or non-ferromagnetic (NFe) substrate.
The measuring range is 0–2000 µm; measurement accuracy ≤ ±(3% of measured thickness + 2 µm).
Runs on three 1.5 V AAA batteries.
The USB-C port is for transferring measurement data to a computer, not for charging the device.
