Excessive overheating and mechanical damage wear out the protective layer and cause oxidation, as a result of which the tin no longer adheres to the tip.

It is recommended to cover the tip with tin regularly.

When heating for the first time, cover the tip with a thin layer of tin and remove the excess tin with, for example, a brass brush.

The same should be done after finishing the work - this extends the life of the tip.

Transformer soldering irons work in pulse mode. To maintain maximum reliability, the work cycle must be followed: 12 seconds of soldering and 48 seconds of pause.
