YT-2861 voltage monitor with LCD screen allows you to determine the presence of alternating current (AC) voltage and detect it by induction method. The presence of voltage is indicated by an indicator displayed on the LCD screen.

CONTACT METHOD
Place the tester tip on the active component. The voltage values are displayed on the screen. The indicator shows the highest voltage range and all lower ranges in the circuit being tested. For example, when measuring a 230 V household outlet, the screen displays [12, 36, 55, 110, 220], which indicates a voltage of over 220 V.

INDUCTION METHOD
The method allows to detect AC voltage in an insulated wire. To do this, place your finger on the "Induction Test" field and bring the tip close to the insulated wire. A flash symbol on the LCD screen indicates the presence of voltage. The method also allows to detect a break in a live wire "without contact" - the tester will no longer show voltage at the point of the break.
