The YATO waterproof pinpointer metal detector is a compact device for accurately locating metal objects hidden in soil, sand or walls, with a maximum detection range of 5 cm.
It complements a standard metal detector: after an initial detection, the device helps quickly narrow down the search area and pinpoint the location of a coin, piece of jewellery or other metal object more precisely.
Detection and signals
The 360° probe enables rapid metal detection, while the PINPOINT function helps accurately determine the location of the detected object.
You can choose from three signal modes: sound and vibration, vibration only or sound only.
The signal strength changes automatically according to the distance from the object.
Construction and ease of use
The sealed housing with an IP68 protection rating is suitable for use in wet environments and underwater.
The built-in LED light illuminates the work area, while the centimetre and inch scale marked on the probe housing helps estimate the depth of the excavation.
The ergonomic housing has an attachment point for a wrist strap.
The device switches off automatically after 10 minutes of inactivity.

The detector is suitable for accurately locating objects after they have been initially detected with a main detector, and for searching for metal objects in walls before drilling or installation.
